Cristine G. Takahashi Foundation, Inc.

Rooted in Pure Service

Our History

Founded by philanthropist Ms. Cristine G. Takahashi, the organization is grounded in more than thirteen (13) years of unwavering service to the underserved—service shaped not by convenience, but by deep conviction.

Long before formal programs existed, Ms. Takahashi was already walking beside communities often unseen and unheard. With a heart that chooses service over comfort, she stood firm for what is right and fought—quietly yet courageously—for those who needed a voice.

Humble Beginnings

The mission began through quarterly feeding programs, bringing nourishment, joy, and hope to children in need. These simple acts revealed a greater truth: hunger is not only of the body, but also of opportunity.

Moved by this reality, the founder expanded her advocacy to education, providing scholarships—particularly for children of solo parents. Through personal sacrifice, nearly 50 scholars were supported and given a renewed chance to dream.

Growth Through Purpose

In 2022, this vision took form through the launch of the Mobile Classroom Project in partnership with the Department of Education – Lapu-Lapu City Division, deploying ALS teachers to deliver short technical and alternative learning courses directly to communities where transportation remains a barrier. Through bi-weekly visits, the program has reached over 3,800 ALS learners.

By 2023, the initiative evolved into BrightWheels—a double-purpose Mobile Classroom and Kitchen on Wheels, serving both education and warm meals under the Provision to End Hunger Program, affirming that learning begins when hunger ends.

In 2025, this lifelong mission was formally established with the creation of the Foundation (CGT Foundation, Inc.)

A Legacy of Service

At its core, this history is not about numbers—it is about a life devoted to service, led by compassion, courage, and integrity.

“True service is not measured by recognition, but by the lives it quietly changes.”

Ms. Cristine G. Takahashi’s journey stands as proof that when one chooses to serve with truth and love, lasting impact follows.
